Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services of SilkRoad Tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Provided

SilkRoad Tours provides tourism services including but not limited to:

  • Guided excursions and tours throughout Azerbaijan
  • Hotel booking and accommodation arrangements
  • Transfer and transportation services
  • Custom travel itinerary planning

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Booking Process: All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email. A booking is considered confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from SilkRoad Tours.

3.2 Payment Terms: Payment terms will be specified in your booking confirmation. Generally, a deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due 14 days before the tour departure date.

3.3 Pricing: All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change until full payment is received. We reserve the right to adjust prices due to currency fluctuations, tax changes, or increases in supplier costs.

3.4 Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit cards, and other payment methods as specified during booking.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellations by Customer:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • 15-30 days before departure: 50% refund
  • 7-14 days before departure: 25% refund
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund

4.2 Cancellations by SilkRoad Tours: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative tour of equal or greater value.

4.3 Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, pandemics, or government restrictions.

5. Travel Documents and Insurance

5.1 Travel Documents: You are responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents. We can provide guidance but are not responsible for document-related issues.

5.2 Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and personal liability.

6. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during booking
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled activities
  • Follow the instructions of tour guides and staff
  • Respect local customs, laws, and regulations
  • Behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, and local communities
  • Not engage in illegal activities during the tour
  • Be responsible for your personal belongings

7. Health and Safety

7.1 Medical Conditions: You must inform us of any medical conditions, disabilities, dietary requirements, or special needs at the time of booking.

7.2 Fitness Requirements: Some tours may require a certain level of physical fitness. Please ensure you are capable of participating in the activities described.

7.3 Safety Compliance: You must follow all safety instructions provided by guides and staff. We are not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow safety guidelines.

8. Liability and Limitations

8.1 Service Delivery: While we strive to provide excellent service, we are not liable for minor changes to itineraries, hotel standards, or services provided by third-party suppliers.

8.2 Personal Injury: We are not liable for personal injury, illness, death, or property damage except where caused by our negligence.

8.3 Third-Party Services: We act as an intermediary for hotels, transport companies, and other service providers. We are not liable for their actions or omissions.

8.4 Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid by you for the services in question.

9. Complaints and Disputes

9.1 Complaints: If you have a complaint during your tour, you must notify our representative immediately so we can attempt to resolve it. Written complaints should be submitted within 30 days of tour completion.

9.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Azerbaijan courts.

10. Photography and Marketing

You grant SilkRoad Tours permission to use photographs or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes unless you specifically opt out in writing.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of SilkRoad Tours and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

12. Changes to Itinerary

We reserve the right to make changes to tour itineraries due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or other operational reasons. We will make every effort to provide comparable alternatives.

13. Behavior and Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any customer whose behavior is deemed disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful. No refund will be provided in such cases.

14. Data Protection

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
